Flower Farm Field Crew

Eleven Mile Farm is a family-owned private farm located just outside of Pittsburgh. We specialize in the Slow flower movement where the focus is on seasonal flowers grown using sustainable growing practices. Between March and November, we produce unique varieties of flowers that are sold locally through our floral CSAs, arrangements and to local florists for design work.

As a member of the Flower Farm Field Crew, the individual will work closely with Becca and the Team Managers on the following:

• Field development

• Soil restoration and improvement

• Succession planting

• Caterpillar tunnel construction

• Seed starting

• Harvesting, weeding, irrigation, fertilization, and organic pest and disease control

• Bouquet making

We are looking for both a solid independent work ethic and an ability to take direction and work with others. Communication skills, dependability and a passion for nurturing plants is a must. Since we are a younger farm, there is a level of learning that we are all doing every day. 

Physical requirements:

• Able to lift 50lbs and enjoys physical labor

• Able to walk, stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods


• Enjoys working hard outdoors in all types of weather
